Re: E3 2012
Any idea if the Wii U games will support online co-op?

Geez kind of a letdown, but I need more than Rayman if I ever pick one of these up.
For me, Watch Dogs may be the surprise of the show. The NPCs are outstanding.

Unless it is released on steam, I am a likely candidate there.Stark wrote:I would be very surprised if anyone played ME3 on the WiiU.MrPopo wrote:You'd be surprised.Phades wrote:Also, who is going to play ME3 on this?
Re: E3 2012
Half wondering if the console versions of Watch_Dogs will be cut down in that regard (it was demoed on PC), but yeah, it was outstanding. I'm also excited for The Last of Us, Beyond, and the new Tomb Raider...but those I largely knew about prior to E3 (knew the name for Beyond, but not what it was aboutBradtemple87 wrote:Geez kind of a letdown, but I need more than Rayman if I ever pick one of these up.

Nintendo really failed to sell me on the Wii U though. I was hoping for a lot more.
Re: E3 2012
So the show floor opens in an hour or so - what do you want me to check out and give you my impressions about?
I will say that before the Nintendo press conference I had almost no interest in the Wii U. I am now of the opinion that I am at least interested in trying it out, so they are slowly winning me over. They need better third-party support for new IPs (e.g. Zombie U) or new entries in existing third party IPs instead of "enhanced" ports.
The first party stuff looks solid as always, I thought. That's probably what tipped the scale for me, as last year they didn't have much to show in terms of Nintendo titles.

In fact, I think Ubisoft was the surprise of the show. Period.Bradtemple87 wrote:Geez kind of a letdown, but I need more than Rayman if I ever pick one of these up.

Spinter Cell: Blacklist
Assassin's Creed III
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
Rayman Legends
ZombiU
Far Cry 3
Watch Dogs
The fact that Watch Dogs takes place in Chicago is enough to sell me on the game. I visited that fine city last year and fell in love with it.

Ninty's Wii U feels like Wii HD, with added gimmicks just for the sake of it.. So that's how many accessories to play the Fit "game"? Three?

That's why I'd never use something like Wii Fit U (dumb name too.)Pulsar_t wrote:Ninty's Wii U feels like Wii HD, with added gimmicks just for the sake of it.. So that's how many accessories to play the Fit "game"? Three?
It's a lot easier and cheaper just going outside and running with the fresh, cool air.

This sums up my thoughts on the rest of the show quite well.

Re: E3 2012
Hence the quotation marks I put around 'won'. So many people talking about who 'wins', including Jack Tretton. I think it's stupid. I don't know if you're criticizing me or agreeing with my mocking of people who think there are E3 'winners'. I'll assume you sensed my sarcasm by me basing a 'winner' on a host who is the voice actress of an animated program that I enjoy.Pulsar_t wrote:What's this obsession with perceived 'winning'? The brashness of people can be trying at times.. it's not like they hand out medals for best press conference.hashiriya1 wrote:Ubisoft had Lana, err, Aisha Tyler as a host. They 'won' by default.
