Whoa, didn't realize NPCs can get knocked out in "simulated" combat. Wonder if that comes into play later

lol I already played Ys 7 when it came out.WallCrusher wrote:Good man.You should also look into Oath in Felghana and Ys Seven.
I've been playing Ys Origin as well. Almost done with Yunica's path... no clue if I will play as Hugo or The Claw next.
Aside from that I started up my PSP the other day to play some more Persona 3 Portable... only to find out that my charger is busted so I had to order a new one. :/
I imported Felghana PC a long time ago and translated patched that all up inz~!!! definitely one of my favorite collector pieces I own!
I still picked up the PSP version tho, gotta support exceed and also the collector's edition was nice!!
anywayz, finished Ys I!!! put about half hour into II, definitely gonna be playing a ton of it this week during down time at E3!!

Niiiice. Ys II for PSP has far more meat to it than than Ys I, so you'll probably be playing it for a little longer than the first game. Although I prefer Ys I a bit more; Darm Tower is my favorite final dungeon in the series, and the PSP version gives it all of those little details like having it slowly turn night, and then to morning, while your progressing up the tower, which makes it even cooler.
Anyway, I beat Yunica's path in Ys Origin last night, although I seemed to have missed an item on the item page.
I wonder if it has anything to do with also not getting all of the blessing upgrades (I should have gotten the blessing that increases the amount of SP you receive earlier, so I'll need to keep that in mind next time). Anyway, as tempting as it is to play The Claw next, I think I'm gonna give Hugo a spin now.

Yeah I prefer Ys I over II. Don't get me wrong, II is awesome but a bit too cryptic in many parts, especially the Palace of Solomon.
Speaking of Ys Origin, does anyone know if the English patch works on both the Chinese and Japanese versions or just the Japanese version? (I'm not interested in the English Steam release).

strange. Ys seems to be one of your favorite series. Not sure why you wouldn't want to buy a new English translation and encourage XSeed to continue bringing Ys titles to a Western audience.

I hadn't thought of it that way, honestly.
It has nothing to do with not wanting to support XSeed, it has more to do with the fact that I'm a physical game collector and already own copies of Ys I through 7. I'd like to eventually get copies of Ys Strategy and Ys Origin to complete the collection (I can live without the fighting game and Ys Typing Tutor

Since I'm really itching to play the game I may just end up downloading it and then maybe getting a physical copy once I can find it on the cheap.

Steam account is free and takes about as long to register for as it did to register for an account on Racketboy. I understand wanting physical games, but dood... I think you're missing out on this one.

I'll certainly consider it... I may want to finish some of my summer challenge games first, along with Ys IV, IV, and V.

Get it on Steam and import a physical copy from Japan. Win-win.

On top of that XSEED finally managed to do what Falcom couldn't/didn't: get OiF and Origin in proper widescreen. That alone makes the Steam releases appealing for me.
