Today I was checking out my dad's corvette, looking for a leak. The latch for the hood gave out and the damn thing fell on me.

Thankfully I was only bent slightly at the time, so I saw it coming enough to catch it with my forearm, but that hood is heavy as hell and it hit my arm right on the bone. Hurt like a mother.

I'm just glad I wasn't bent all the way over, otherwise I'd have much a bigger problem right now than a sore arm.

Frown I'm sick today. I feel delirious like I'm about to get a fever. When I woke up I just thought I was hungover then started to feel worse as the day went on. I still helped my girlfriend do a bunch of yard work and leveled most of the front yard. Now I want nothing more then to go home and curl up with my ds and play the world ends with you but it's not going to happen since we still need to get dinner.

Editing in a smile here. My ds had stopped charging and I wasn't sure if it was something to do with the ds or the charger so I crossed my fingers and ordered a chargee from ebay. Turns out it was just the charger so now I'm free to play my ds again.

I have to admit, I do some of the things on that list. There's only one I take objection to:

Venerating the movies and TV shows of your youth
Yep, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a cartoon masterpiece, but only because you were a kid. And like all kids, you had horrible taste. It’s fine to think back fondly on this stuff, but if you try to convince someone that The NeverEnding Story is a triumph of cinema you’re just going to sound like a scared man-child clinging desperately to his youth.

I didn't see The Neverending Story until after I turned 18, and I think it's a great movie. They could have picked a better example.

Oh dear god it irks me when people act like lack of sleep is a badge of honor. It ranks right up there with "I aced that test and didn't even study! / I aced that class even though I skipped half of the lectures!"
