While I like the screen controller, I am really interested in what happens with the U. This, and the statement that we can use the original wiimotes makes me very curious

Just wait until you add in turbo controllers, fightsticks, and fighting controllers.

Yes, it is confirmed that the Wii U supports more than one controller. I think the CCP has a bit more distance between the analog sticks and other stuff, plus I'd imagine shoulder buttons/triggers might be more comfortable on it...but yeah, have to see.

No, he was talking about the GamePad (the Wii U controller w/screen). As far as I know, only one GamePad is supported at the moment.pankakes123 wrote:Yes, it is confirmed that the Wii U supports more than one controller. Re: Nintendo Direct
The design of the controller looks very similar to an Xbox 360 game controller. I liked the design of the original Classic Controller but if this has wireless connectivity and doesn't need to be connected to a Wiimote that would be awesome!!

Re: Nintendo Direct
In all honesty it is hard to say the new controller is just a 360 rip off. The handle design was present on the PS1 controller, N64, Gamecube, and Dreamcast prior to the Xbox S, and the four circle buttons were there prior as well.
Plus the overall shape is in truth a little different and the joysticks are on the same plane. It just seems like a natural progression/off shoot of the modern controller.

Re: Nintendo Direct
The controller looks really good for FPS games (the popular genre this generation) but for games were you use more the face buttons looks a bit awkard.
I never understand why they didn't add battery on the classic controller... really weird plug your controller into other controller.Dakinggamer87 wrote:The design of the controller looks very similar to an Xbox 360 game controller. I'm reading that Nintendo Japan has confirmed the ability to use two, but at a significant performance hit.xan_racketBOY_fan wrote:No, he was talking about the GamePad (the Wii U controller w/screen).
