I started Resident Evil 4 today because my girlfriend wanted to watch me play through it. I beat the first 2 levels and am saved half way through stage 1-3. I'm not sure I'm very good at it though, I constantly seem to be struggling for handgun ammo.

I'm within shouting distance of finishing off FFIV too, not sure what I'll play next. I was thinking Monster World IV, but I'm not sure I want 2 home console games running at the same time I play through C&C on my PS1 aswell. Might go for Grim Fandango as I can play it on my laptop. Anyone else playing that?

Ive Played through Grim Fandango, if you like those types of point and click adventures games i would def give it a go the puzzles are about as difficult at myst games maybe a little easier, the story and overall atmosphere of the game are great it doesnt take itself very seriously.

I played for about an hour and got through the egg stage and got the fireball... I can't be too far yet can I?
I'm gonna say like 5-6 hrs based on where I am.

So I just made the bomb and freed the guy who was trying to contact Sue at the beginning. I think I am making good progress and am enjoying the game. Not too much backtracking so far.
Questions:
1. Am I half way done yet?
2. Does the bubble gun have any real use?

Yeah, that one was a pain too. But I managed to snag a bonus coin and the DK coin on my first run, so going back and finding the other bonus room wasn't too bad.

As far as getting the real ending is concerned, I'm sitting at 95% completed now. I have to get the only bonus coin in the game that I am missing, from Swoopy Salvo, the level where you have swooping woodpeckers. I know where the bonus room is and have managed to get into it before, but it's a pain getting to it, and once in it, it's one of those bloody "grab 15 green banana" levels, which I generally dislike. I have to get it though, as it is the only coin keeping me from having the final amount to access level 5 in the Lost World. Once I beat that, it comes down to fighting the true final boss and grabbing the only remaining DK coins, of which I am missing 2.

So close...

I have successfully made it through Mt. Ordeals and have made it back to Baron 8)

I didn't have a lot of time for FFIV yesterday. I wanted to tackle Mt. Ordeals the other day, but I got to busy. I spent about an hour grinding, but that was it. I think I made up for my lost time today though, so I'm happy. I'm now almost 9 hours in.

After you grind a bit, come back and let me know how much you like the boss of this level. I mean that earnestly, too!
I enjoyed it :D

Of course, it was a hell of a lot easier to get through Ordeals in general once I leveled up a bit. I think I might have over did it actually. I was expecting it to be harder than it was and Scarmiglione (I shall call him Scarface) ended up going down pretty fast..... then he came back :!: And I kicked his a#* again

The one thing I didn't like was Cecil loosing all his levels. All my hard work wasted. Big bummer :?

I'd say you are pretty much smack-dab in the halfway point. This is about where the difficulty starts to pick up.

Bubble gun? You mean the flame one? Yeah it's great for killing shit that's on the ground. You can kill stuff without even getting close because the firebubbles just roll on the ground. It's pretty useful in the super-tough spike-filled cave that sabrage mentioned.

I also fired up VVVVVV last night just to make sure it was working and woah... I feel like that might end up being one of the best games I picked for my Summer Gaming list. I only played for like five mins to get a quick feel for it, but I'm pretty excited to getting to play that one!

The final level of that world is pretty unique, but I've never actually managed to get all the coins and stuff myself, so I haven't played it.

You'll need all the banana birds too. The maximum completion percentage for a normal game is either 103% or 104% iirc. If you use the cheat code LRRLRRLRLR on the file select screen and type in the cheat HARDR, you'll be able to get to 105%, but there are no midway points and less DK barrels, and it has to be done on a new file, so too late for that now.

If you have a spare file, try using the LRRLRRLRLR cheat code and typing in MERRY as your passcode, then going straight to a bonus level. It's pretty sweet.

I want to say I'm a bit further than halfway through Castlevania III now. It's seriously great, like seriously. I love the atmosphere. This might end up being my favorite game in the whole franchise...

I have the flame gun, the bubble gun was found behind one of the fireplaces in the village. I love the flame gun!
The difficulty will go up... I hated the frog boss until
I figured out the combination of flame gun for the mini frogs and missiles for the mouth.
I hope the difficulty doesn't discourage me from continuing since the story isn't doing much for me thus far.

I also have VVVVVV I may join in with that too... forget the list I'm just going to play games that you guys are if they sound fun.
