You can find pretty much everything on Amazon.

Thanks for another useful and pertinent post...pankakes123 wrote:You can find pretty much everything on Amazon.
The boxed version of the game isn't on Amazon. Nor is it on the US eBay.
But hey, your post count is higher!

Until the mid 90's games came on floppy disks of various kinds which were incredibly easy to damage or lose. I think it's a general supply problem.Menegrothx wrote:I dont get it why it's so hard to find old computer games compared to finding old console games

I don't know how true that is, I have no problem finding copies of The Bard's Tale or other older videogames, this one is a bit of an oddity.Menegrothx wrote:I dont get it why it's so hard to find old computer games compared to finding old console games
That said, it IS harder. Let's make a topic about it.
Looking for a cool game? Find it in my blog!

It is but it isn't. Plenty of classic PC titles have remained quite available over time, or have become more available with direct-download now.Menegrothx wrote:I dont get it why it's so hard to find old computer games compared to finding old console games
Finding complete-in-box games is, certainly, but I'd say that's largely because the large boxes only rarely served much of a purpose, despite taking up a lot of space, and never really conformed to a standard size to boot.
Beyond that, PC games have been a lot more subject to alternate packaging over the years. Copies bundled with hardware, with other games, jewel-case releases for the bargain shelf, direct sales/downloads. You almost couldn't buy a multimedia kit in the early 90s without getting a copy of Return to Zork, and the various Lucasarts Archives were likely responsible for many copies of the SCUMM games out there, for examples. Essentially, there are probably a lot of copies that only ever were disc & manual (or composite manual).

I searched for Wasteland in box but couldn't find anything. I did find this though, but you're probably not interested. It has Wasteland and a bunch of other CRPGs.
