I can't say my wife loves the fact anytime I see a peanut, I can't help but ask if anybody wants one (this includes while being in a grocery store).Hobie-wan wrote:Princess Bride is just an awesome, highly quotable adventure movie to me.

I really don't think it matters; it's just a fun, well-made, enjoyable film.flex wood wrote:I've always considered it a chick flick. There are only three movies I can think of that are more quotable than The Princess Bride: The Big Lebowski, Clerks, and Groundhog Day.AppleQueso wrote:Chick Flick? Princess Bride? No way. Yup. BRIDE is a fantasy adventure, and one of the best of the genre. An underlying love story doesn't make a movie a chick flick, having Hillary Duff in the cast does.
Quick! Name the game Fred Savage plays when Peter Falk comes to read the story!
Double Quick! What's the name of the Master's of the Universe character next to Fred's television?
Triple Quicker! What are Fred's favorite sports teams?

I can quote almost the entirety of Back to the Future's script, but I don't know if that makes it a particularly quotable movie...

I saw about half of it when it was on TV, but I really wasn't paying attention at the time. I guess I could give it another watch.Luke wrote:lisalover1 wrote: There are only three movies I can think of that are more quotable than The Princess Bride: The Big Lebowski, Clerks, and Groundhog Day.

It's definitely not a movie to watch edited. I doubt they'll air the classics like "Suzanne sucks pussy!" or "Yeah, well fuck him", or even "You can only drink so much and screw so much".lisalover1 wrote: I saw about half of it when it was on TV, but I really wasn't paying attention at the time. A lot of people don't like Slap Shot. I do not understand these people.
Hell, I just talked myself into watching SLAP SHOT again today. Maybe my 100th viewing for all I know. Time to put on the foil.
