Rumour: Sega Europe to close

As much as it saddens me to hear that the Europe branch could close, the following bothered me more:
The same thing is mentioned in Gamekyo’s report, where they say that Sega will stop funding big games and concentrate on mobile and tablet games.

Sega is in pretty bad shape it seems.

I know the people who run nightsintodreams.com work for Sega Europe and they say the rumor is totally baseless.

hm let's see...what are 2 of Sega's biggest franchises right now?

Football Manager and Total War.

And where have they traditionally sold the most? Yup, Europe.
That and not to mention that Sonic always was popular as well here and you understand there is a very small probability that this is true.
