Re: Lukiegames
I'd really like one of the more well-off members here to run off to Japan with a big list of games each of us wants, then come back and sell it to us at cost.
Older. Not wiser.

I bought a N64 memory card June 1st, received it June 3rd

PLEASE! haha. There are some other members here in Japan, though.o.pwuaioc wrote:We should just collectively buy Breetai tickets back to Japan.mjmjr25 wrote:When you do that (start using yr JP contacts for game stuffs), hit me up, please? I need a few more guys to round out my libraries.
IF I were to ever move back, of course I'd want to get you guys some stuff at better prices than you'd otherwise get (while still making profit, haha). Example: I was sometimes finding N64 Hori mini-pads at Hard-Offs for around $7 and selling for $30-40. Yeah, maybe it's kind of gouging... but if you consider that I'd only find one every few months, I actually kept NONE for myself, it takes a good amount of searching to find them, and it's STILL like $20 cheaper than everywhere else... I don't think I'm that evil.
As for Lukiegames...
One of my friends got a wrong order today after waiting about four weeks for it to come in.
Another friend had called them and was told that they had more orders than they could keep up with. In other words, they were behind on shipping. That fits well with the experience I'd just written about above.
When I get my late order in (hopefully), I'll be checking the date it was actually shipped on.
I get that they were very busy and probably mixed some things up in the process and got behind, but... it's very annoying to hear conflicting stories from the same place.

Re: Lukiegames
Alright. One of my friends just got a late order from Lukiegames in today. He had contacted them to confirm when they had sent his order. When he checked the post date, it was posted at 5 days after the date that Lukiegames at told him. He ordered his stuff on May 6. I ordered mine on May 1. I am really doubting this is a customs issue at this point (maybe party, but not totally). This also jives with what another friend had said about them getting more orders then they could handle when he called them about his order being late(!).
I'm wondering if they just flat out lied about when they sent my order, like they did with my friend. Maybe they didn't have the games that I ordered in stock, and just waited until they had them to send my order. They didn't have one game I ordered in stock (although their site listed it as in stock), but they told me about it. I just requested they send it later. However, maybe other games I ordered were not in stock and they just didn't inform me.
It has been over 6 weeks since I placed my order, but a few days under 6 weeks since the date they told me they sent it out because of a previous error they had already made.
If I do not have my order by the 6 week point, I am at least going to ask them to resent using the fastest possible shipping option. I think that is the very least they could do (especially considering that they have been shipping products days after they tell my friends they sent them).

Re: Lukiegames
Provide your friend's order numbers if you have to send that back so they know you're not just making stuff up.

If it comes down to it, I will. They are already scanned in case I need them.Hobie-wan wrote:Provide your friend's order numbers if you have to send that back so they know you're not just making stuff up.

Re: Lukiegames
Well, that same friend just got another Lukiegames order in the mail today... that he had ordered, and the site had confirmed sent, before his previous two packages that he'd received. Yet... the post mark was dated over two weeks after Lukiegames had confirmed to have sent it.

Tomorrow is officially six weeks since they said they sent mine (and I no longer trust their sent dates), and seven weeks since I made the order.
Before the late April orders, they had been fine. Now, I am very unhappy with their service as there are major discrepancies between their claimed sent dates and the actual post marks. I do not believe this is an issue (or solely an issue) with customs or the postal services.

Re: Lukiegames
You're probably absolutely right when you said they must not have had the game in stock. Really, this sounds all sorts of shady. Luckily, I only deal with them through ebay, but hopefully they don't try to screw you over any further.Breetai wrote:Before the late April orders, they had been fine. Re: Lukiegames
From what I have read, they often "sell" games they don't actually have in stock. They also seem to mainly focus on the eBay account and not the website.

I just emailed them today and said that it has been about 7 weeks since I ordered, and just over 6 weeks since they said they had sent it. My response to that:Hi [Breetai},
I’m sorry it’s taking longer than usual for you to receive your order. The items you purchased with the points were shipped with AC-*****. We will physically check with our return department to see if the package was sent back. If found we will reship, if not we will send a replacement order. Once it ships you will receive an email with shipping details.
Thanks,

I think it is a fair request for a fairly sizable company to handle. I also anticipate another problem; the reason it was delayed about a week originally was because I had ordered Galactic Attack on the Saturn. They told me that, due to a computer error, it wasn't in stock. I could either have my money back or get it sent when they had another in stock. I asked for it to be sent later, which they sent just under 3 weeks later. That one is already pushing 3 weeks of waiting for it now.Thank you, I appreciate it.
If you sent a replacement order, it is possible to have it sent using a faster method? I have already been waiting 7 weeks since purchasing.
Thanks
In the end, what really pissed me off is their apparent* lying to my friends about shipping dates.
*See, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt here. I can even understand why they would say an earlier date to try and save face, but that doesn't make it right.
