What makes Duke Nukem Forever so bad?

I have a really hard time seeing how DNF feels like a throwback title.

All the jokes feel like they're from 15 years ago..

Serious Sam 3 I still need to hit up. I'm sure it's better than DNF. But yeah let's not kid ourselves, DNF was decent.

Just to note, on PC, the game has been updated to re-balance weapons and give more placements and things like that. It's decidedly not the same game that's on console.

I just started this yesterday too and on PC there an option to allow you to carry 4 weapons. I've made it to the hive levels and it's just meh so far. The trapped lady bits in this level are pretty hokey and I feel embarrassed for the female voice actors in this game as I listen to them deliver their lines. I've played worse, but I've certainly played better. If I'd paid more than a cheap Steam sale or had been a big Duke fan in the past I'd probably be pretty pissed. I'll likely finish the game though.

Kind of what Cronozilla said, the ability to hold 4 weapons on the PC version wasn't there originally. That's still not everything and my biggest gripe with the game, but oh well.

$8 used but in great shape complete, so I cant complain.
