More like 5-7% of the game, if that. Go play Silent Hill 4 first and then come back to see how well the escort thing was done in RE4. It's a very minor inconvenience compared to escorting Eileen literally through the second half of the game.
Just watch this video and you'll realize how much more poorly they could've handled the escort missions with Ashley in RE4.

Games that have someone's name etched into it.

Most annoying thing is that there are too many damn games.

That, or there's just too little time in life. :?

If I created a videogame I would like to have the same credit every single other artist in the world has.

Hell, if there's something to be annoyed, it's at the fact games like Portal are heralded as one of the best ever made and we don't know who made them.

Kim Swift seems to be doing quite well with her Portal pedigree.

There are arcades even outside Japan in 2012? Besides the few shooter/rally cabinets in a movie theatre (I'm actually surprised the haven't removed them, they probably eat a ton of electricity and you never see any one playing them) and the the occasional arcade cabinet next to a bunch of gambling coin games in an amusement park/airport, I've never even seen a real arcade hall

I blame modern technology. It was easy to know stuff like that back when most video games were made by 1-4 people. Nowadays when you look at a game's credits, probably less than 15% actually did actual computer programming, animation or artwork :) All kinds of people get credited like market research&PR people and what not.

Though she isn't making another Portal now that she has left Valve, her next game, Quantum Conundrum, is looking really cool:
