I am ready for some Metal Black myself, but might throw this back in the cab for one more romping. I've tried a few times, but just cannot hit 4m yet.

No one outclasses Dimahoo. It was a good try though.
that game makes stuff like Gigawing and Mushihimesama look easy.

I've had a case of the dizzies and haven't been able to play anything for almost a week. I'm hoping to be up for one last hurrah tonight.
Metal Black will be fun - everyone should be able to play that one physically so we'll have a nice crowd.

I'm in the same boat with the last hurrah. I didn't dig the scoring in this game, so it was hard to get into.mjmjr25 wrote:I've had a case of the dizzies and haven't been able to play anything for almost a week. I'm hoping to be up for one last hurrah tonight.

As for "playing games physically," f that. I play with my MIND.

Yeah, the scoring in this game is nuts. usually I enjoy learning how a game works, and then scoring in bits while I try to clear it. That just doesn't cut it with this game.
What I do love though, is that this game is designed to be enjoyed from any aspect. If you want to play for score but credit feed, it will still be challenging. if you want to play 2p and cover each other with elements, the game will still be a challenge. if you want to try to get literally everything, you can max the score out at almost the end of the game, if you played it perfectly, which is the ultimate challenge.
Someone just translated an article on shmups from the guy at Raizing that developed Dimahoo, and he mentioned actually developing it with 2p in mind, and that it was a main reason to add the element in. He also didn't seem to think the game was that hard, which completely baffles me.
I do think that Dimahoo is Raizing's best non-Yagawa developed game. I think the game really saved the Mahou Daisakuken series. I enjoy Souky, but until getting into this game this month, I had begun to think that the only ace Raizing games were developed by Yagawa.
I dunno, figured it was a good day to share thoughts on this game, since it gets little discussion elsewhere.

The last 1/2 dozen or so scores are not updated.
Tyranix, Dunpeal, and Hashirya for sure need updates...that might be it.
Also, I had 12 million + in my dream last night. Up to you guys if you want to count it or not...but it seemed real enough, to me.
