2010 - A Year of Overlooked, Underhyped Games

Yeah that's definitely a possibility. It's hard to determine what a truly overlooked game is because everybody has their own source for gaming news.

I also remember people severly disliking Enslaved's relationship between the main characters and thinking it was forced.

Well yeah, the forced relationship is the point. Trip enslaves Monkey in the beginning and he hates her for it, but they naturally grow a bond very slowly throughout the story until they are basically best friends by the end.

Not forced in the salve sense, forced in the writting sense. Many thought the supposed friendship that grows over time was not beliable.

I've noticed this for the past few weeks. 2010 saw the release of Halo Reach, Black Ops, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Bioshock 2

It's pretty obivous that Halo, Call of Duty and Assasin's creed games arent overlooked or underhyped. Bioshock 2 was story wise inferioir to Bioshock and seemed a bit uninspired, even though it was technically and gameplay wise a better game.

I will say one thing...

According to wikipedia it sold almost 5 million copies (!!) but I can honestly say that I never even once saw a DKCR topic/discussion on any gaming related forum/place I browsed back in 2010. Seriously, I hyped it all over the place and I was always the only person who seemed to give a shit.

Lol. If you think I forgot about DKCR you're wrong. I didn't think I had to mention EVERY big game from that year.
