Yeah, I can see the fire circles killing me later on... But his grab move barely did 25% of my life bar with the Monk's amazing passive. It's pretty easy to dodge, but I didn't even have to.

I believe the grab reduces you to a fixed % of your life that increases with every difficulty. For comparison, in hell when I got caught in it I would always be reduced to a bare sliver of health. It could never kill me unless I had the dot on me that would tick and kill me right after the grab finished.

Started Nightmare with my Monk. Here's my "Fun Mode" build:

(First of all, turn on Elective Mode if you haven't already. It lets you assign any skill category to any button - allowing you to use, for example, two primary attacks. I don't know why this wasn't on by default; it's completely changed the way I play the game. Since all the Monk's primary attacks are based on basic 3-hit combos, you can swap out attacks mid-combo for different effects)

Required level: Whatever one has all these spells.
Left Click: Fists of Ligthning with Thunderclap for teleporting fun
Right Click: Way of the Hundred Fists with Blazing Fists
1: Serenity/Peaceful Repose (default "I'm in way over my head" spell")
2: Mystic Ally, I like Water
3: Wave of Light/Explosive Light - not using my Spirit on anything else, so I basically just spam this.
Mantra: Conviction. I'm not dying anyways.
Passive 1: Fleet Footed (Pacifism on bosses or if I'm having a lot of trouble)
Passive 2: Seize the Initiative
Passive 3: Chant of Resonance

I had to play around with Monk a lot more than I did with Witch Doctor to find a setup that "worked" the way I wanted it to. I doubt my gear is anything out of the ordinary - focused on as much dexterity, bonus XP, attack speed, vitality, and crit as possible, in that order.
