Need Help - Xbox 360 froze & Account Banned

I don't know what I did to have this happen, I did not mod my console, I never hacked into any games, I never cheated, I never harassed or threatened anyone on Xbox Live. Weird thing is, up until the last day my Gold subscription, I was still able to play on Live. After that ended, I didn't play the 360 for a while. I get a new prepaid Gold Live card & when I typed the code in, this came up "Status Code: 80169D94." I get in touch with an Xbox Live rep, of course they aren't much help, all he told me is that my account has been permanently banned & my console froze. He couldn't give a specific reason why.

What can I do? Who can I get in touch with at Xbox Live? Can I even resolve this? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

This dreaded error hit my system recently. Xbox on line support did not shed any light, while a quick google on this code revealed that this problem had become quite common recently. Users complained that Xbox phone support was not effective. Here is the fix. The error indicates that you xbox live purchasing functions have been “locked”. To unlock ensure that your personal details, name, address, etc precisely match your credit card deteils in terms of both content and capitalisation. Call xbox phone support and advise you have made this change and ask them to kick the problem to the credit department. Wait 24-48hours and miracle your account works. Happy “xbox live-ing”.

I would call back and ask them to get more specific. Ask to talk to a manager. Start with: "Look I'm TRYING to give YOU money for something I can get FREE, elsewhere."
