Hori arcade sticks for Xbox 360 and PS3
I did a search and only found a thread that Racketboy himself started...back in 2008.
So when looking at ideal Hori-produced sticks for current gen-systems, which do you lean to? Is there a review site out there that compares sticks?
There are a couple that are not themed for a fighting game that I'm kind of interested in.
This is one:

The HRAP sticks are very very nice. Definitely recommended. I still have a PS3 HRAP stick available if you are interested. Have never had any issues with it though it may be a little on the light side.
The nicest ones are probably the VLX models, but I have never used one, unfortunately. They look awesome.
Also wanted to note QanBa/Eightarc because they make 3 in 1 sticks that'll work flawlessly with Xbox 360, PS3, and PC without any additional mods. The pricing is maybe a little more than a HRAP stick. Something to consider. Would save money and take up less space.

I really like that 3 in 1 suggestion. I'm guessing most sticks are hard wired into the USB ports?
This particular model looks good:

Anybody else have a preference for Hori sticks that they use for their Xbox360 or Ps3?

I have a EX2 for my 360 and it is a nice little stick. I dont play fighting games often, so I cant say it is very good for that, but I do play Arcade games and it is a blast with it. They were $50 for a while, but looks like they have gone up in price.

I'm getting a PS3 soon, and I've been eyeballing the Hori PS3 Fighting Stick V3. It's not quite top of the line but from what I've seen it's sturdy, reliable, and overall great for a cheaper ($60) stick. If I settle on one I'll post about it and share my thoughts.

^ It's a cool stick but missing some buttons, no? At least if you play the Street Fighter series.

Is it less than 6 button? I wouldn't get anything less than a 6 button stick, but I prefer 8. Easier to map Arcana Heart on an 8 button stick to not cramp your pinky. Also useful for certain doujin games that can make use of 5 button setups.

It's 6 but I always thought the combos mapped to the triggers (I use the Fight Commander by Hori) would be useful on a stick as well.ZenErik wrote:Is it less than 6 button? What combos? Like multiple button presses at the same time? Because those are much easier on a stick. Can press up to 5 buttons at the same time with no issues.retrosportsgamer wrote:It's 6 but I always thought the combos mapped to the triggers (I use the Fight Commander by Hori) would be useful on a stick as well.ZenErik wrote:Is it less than 6 button? I do not play much Street Fighter so I do not know how difficult it would be on a 6 button setup. All my fighters are 4 or 5 button. Can keep a finger on each button at all times.
