I really dislike Windows 7 (suffer through it on customer PCs all the time) and the Windows 8 preview I've checked out is My First Fisher Price Noisebox for 3 year olds. Push the button to hear a cow go moo!

Ticked: Just realized that Renegade Ops and Just Cause 2 are direct X 10 only and thus not XP compatible

If you want him to name something he doesn't like so you can invalidate it by telling him how it's not REALLY a problem, don't bother. If you are genuinely curious, fine.
I like Win7 alright, I even like Vista OK (that's what I use right now), but I don't like folks who try to tell people what they are right to like or not like.
Unless you like x, because then you're stupid ; )

But seriously, I too want to know why he dislikes 7.

Nah, DinnerX is a sensible person who doesn't rabble rouse.marurun wrote:If you want him to name something he doesn't like so you can invalidate it by telling him how it's not REALLY a problem, don't bother. If you are genuinely curious, fine.
I've whined about it before. I hate the interface. I hate all the 'helper' bullshit that clutters up everything, a bunch of which I haven't been able to figure out where to turn off. I don't need transparent windows zooming around the screen. UAC is a good idea but horribly implemented. I dislike having power tools hidden from me. Blah blah blah.

You can't even download files to the C drive from the internet without changing settings.Hobie-wan wrote:Nah, DinnerX is a sensible person who doesn't rabble rouse.marurun wrote:If you want him to name something he doesn't like so you can invalidate it by telling him how it's not REALLY a problem, don't bother. Never noticed that as my C drive is my SSD for the OS + programs drive.BoringSupreez wrote:You can't even download files to the C drive from the internet without changing settings.

TICKED: My professor (or the TA I guess?) hasn't graded any of my work except for a simply introductory assignment, which was graded on the 15th. Seems a bit on the slow side, and I would like some feedback to know if I'm doing things correctly.
