It would've been better as a polished PS1 title and would've sold much better.

I like how the SNES sounds. It's got a very distinct sound that is quite nostalgic for me.
You still haven't played Sin & Punishment yet, have you Jack.

I downloaded it from the Wii Store, it sucks. The sequel on the Wii though was cool.Breetai wrote:The other Ogre games are on the PS1.harper wrote:Now he's dissing the SNES. Have we found the new Mozgus?
Though to be frank, I can't stand the way most SNES games sound. Opinions man.

Older. Not wiser.
Re: How is Quake on the Saturn?
The SNES had a great sound chip hampered by very short sample length, meaning everything had to have the crap filtered out of it. Sure, it sounded good, but it also sounded like it was underwater, playing out of a metal canister, or through a couple blankets, and sometimes more than just one of those.

Mozgus was funny at times though.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Have we found the new Mozgus?

Well, do be frank, I'm not a fan of Panzar Dragoon Saga.Busomjack wrote:I downloaded it from the Wii Store, it sucks. The sequel on the Wii though was cool.
Just WHY does Sin & Punishment suck, by the way? You might as well go all the way with this one.

I'm old enough and I say you have no idea what you're talking aboutBusomjack wrote: Yeah, Ogre Battle 64 is one of the few games on the Nintendo 64 that isn't a complete shitpile. It's hard for younger people to empathize with my n64 hate but you have to see it from the perspective from someone who is old enough to remember when the n64 was new.

The N64 is famous for its blur. Nintendo made some (IMO) poor decisions with the N64's graphics hardware and how the hardware was used. However, when the hardware was used well, the results are quite good. Look at this resident evil 2 ps1/n64 comparison. The PS1 has sharper backgrounds in all the shots, but the difference is not all that great. Both consoles look dated and blurry. The N64 does a little bit better job with the polygons, but the difference is not all that great. Both consoles look dated.Busomjack wrote:Ogre Battle 64 is a good game. Some N64 games MP3s or other forms of compressed audio and sound great.
