No, you're right, which is why I'm refusing to respond to the trolling any further. Too late to delete the posts now.AppleQueso wrote:And you certainly helped, didn't you?o.pwuaioc wrote:Thanks to Dave and his thread hijacking.BoringSupreez wrote:At least we managed to get through most of five pages before it inevitably fell apart.

Desert levels. I can't stand them. I have no idea why. The only game I've played where a desert level was tolerable was 'Journey'.

I've never been big on post-game stuff. I like the end of a game to literally be THE END. I hate this crap: It's the end!... and you've unlocked a new world!

The game world feels so empty and pointless once it's over. Unless there's online multiplayer of some sort, there's no point in letting the player keep on going.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I've never been big on post-game stuff. Graphics. Can't wait for the console that hooks directly up to your cerebral cortex and bypasses the optical nerves all together.

Re: Most Annoying Things In Gaming
So in my original post I mentioned bad guys in beat-em ups that hang out right off the edge of the screen where you can't reach them (sooo annoying).
Here's a few more of my personal annoyances in gaming:
-8-Bit Flying Enemies - Like the ones already mentioned such as the Medusa Heads in Castlevania or the Hawks in Ninja Gaiden.
-Game Breaking Glitches - Particularly ones that happen after your save point so you have to start the whole freaking game over again from the beginning (I'm looking at you Dark Messiah of Might & Magic)
-Help Boxes/Voices - Okay, sometimes they are welcome when something is not obvious or intuitive in a game, or for the first time you learn a new move/spell. But a lot of modern games are guilty of telling you how to take every single minor step you take in a game, and that annoys the crap out of me. It sucks all the fun out of game, for me half of the enjoyment is exploring a new gaming world and how it works.
-Ice Levels - Slipping and sliding around is NOT fun.
-Too Many Random Encounters - It's gotten to the point for me that I don't even play JRPGs anymore, unless it has something particularly unique about it. It takes me out of the "experience", it makes exploration a chore when it should be fun, and it FORCES grinding upon you whether you need to or want to grind or not.
-Water Levels - Sonic the Hedgehog water levels, ESPECIALLY!!! How much did it suck when you were standing at an air bubble spot and it was just spitting small bubbles while you counted down to your death?
