Hi,
So last week I went to my brother's house and he has a table top arcade cabinet with 12 or willians games like defender and tapper and robotron 2040. I feel in love with it and i got into the arcade scene with my modded xbox. I want to have that feel again so im wondering what kind of arcade stick do they have for an original xbox?
I have 30 or so xbox titles on it plus coin ops emulater, neo geo, a disc with every retro console and games, every 2d and 3d fighter that the original xbox came out with and I own games like panzer dragoon, halo, halo 2, outrun 2, rocky legends, conker, its just a great little box of everything on it.
Now I just want to know how original xbox games play with an arcade stick and which one should I get?
I know I can't own an arcade so this is my best bet. It suck because I would rather own wwf wrestlefest and tmnt and gyruss as the real deal than to play it with my xbox controller. Any suggestions would help thanks
what to do with my modded xbox

I can't suggest an arcade stick, but have you put MAME onto your Xbox? I know you said you have coin-op arcade games, but I wasn't sure what you meant by that.
If not, get MAME. A great reason to own a softmodded Xbox.

It is an updated version of mamae. It pretty much plays games that had trouble playing on mame. From games in 1996 and up

Do you mean this emulator? http://coinopsproject.freeforums.org/index.php
I've been thinking about installing that.

Re: what to do with my modded xbox
mas, sorry to derail -- but I know which Williams tabletop you're talking about. I've looked at those in the past but the sticks/buttons on them looked really fragile and crappy to me. I've never known anyone who actually played with one first hand though. How did they feel compared to actual arcade hardware?

It was fine for me. It played well for the retro games.noiseredux wrote:mas, sorry to derail -- but I know which Williams tabletop you're talking about.
