Im not sure on guitly gear but I will be happy to try it and get back to you I do know that jojo's bizzare adventure will not vga no matter what I do which annoys me a bit cause I love that game and would like to see it in Vga Hd

hmm your right i just tested it and it says this game doesnt support your video cables, but it says right on the box its vga compatible. maybe it has to be the official vga cables

No need to check. I've played GGX in VGA mode countless times. Here's a video of one of my playthroughs.



Yes Jojo is not compatible with VGA. But the re-release Matching Service version released shortly after in JPN indeed is compatible with VGA! Revive-DC group has just recently released the ISO (for the very first time mind you!!!) for fans everywhere.

No, It still wont work with an official accessory! I checked. It was just a silly packaging error on Capcoms part. They seem to do that alot with their respective products box art packaging

so why am i only getting a black screen when i play guilty gear in vga i get sound. im playing on an american console and i used utopia boot disc to play it.

Like I said previously. The issue may be your TV/Monitor refusing to display it. I've experienced a few isolated issue like this. I have a friend who's montior would refuse to display Hydro thunder in VGA mode. May I ask what is your set up? Are you using a PC monitor or an actual TV? What brand VGA acessory are u using (the latter question is just out of curiosity mind you).

im using a 48 inch insignia lcd tv other games that are vga compatible have no problem, only guilty gear
edit actually it might be because they are ntsc-j games? i have found out that my legit copy of capcom vs snk 2 does the same thing but my burned copy works great... both legit games work fine on s-video

Svideo is a whole different thing altogether. Every Game will work with Svid! I don't know what to say just that I'm sure its not a a region issue and most likely your TV that appear to be issue. I've played GGX (and CVS2!) on numerous monitor and TV's (sans an insignia model) in VGA without any display issue whatsoever. Could your Utopia Disc be the culprit? Perhaps. . . O_o

maybe its utopia since it isnt vga compatible i just have to listen for the dreamcast to stop making noises then i switch the disc, anyone know where i can download a different boot disc? utopia the only one i could find

Then what r u waiting for? Go download the gameshark iso and boot your import that way and see if your results are any better!
