^Nice.

I worked from on on my laptop for about fifteen minutes and then called it quits for the day.

edit* my Weber needs a new grill grate. :(

edit*I just spent a half hour waiting for a grill grate that Lowe's is out of. Someone was buying a new grill, and a lift was in use so two aisles were blocked off. Asked the clerk if they had any 18.5" grill grates in stock, he assured me yes. Well, it was a no. My grill grate has rust on it, and I don't think it is no longer safe to cook on.

Fuck if I'm buying a new grill. What to do? WHAT to do?

Silly question, but have you checked eBay? More than likely you'll find a newly packaged item. It's good for more than just games  I typed in "weber grill grate" and found a whole mess. It will be easier if you type in the model name and number of your grill but you should find what you need.

If ebay did same day delivery, that would be an option. I'm having a cookout tonight, and the grill grate doesn't look sanitary. Might purchase a grill basket as an alternative.

I'm solutions oriented, I'll figure something out.

Check local hardware stores. Check shopping.google.com. It can locate local items, too. Hell, there are options.

Home Depot and TrueValue hardware stores typically seem to have them in stock. Might be worth checking at an Ace hardware store as well.

Doing exactly that.

I'll find a way to cope if I can't get the exact part; adaptable to any situation.

If you can't find a new grill piece in time go to the grocery store and find the big throw away aluminum pans for lasagna cut the sides and cover your grill top to cook
or aluminum foil it you got it.

Is that the one with the mode 7 roller-coaster?

What kind of wussy ass nonsense is this? Once the grill is heated up it's gonna sanitize it. Sure you might get a little carbon and iron oxide on your meat, but geez. I take it you must think that public grills at parks and things with their rust and such send people to the hospital just for looking at them. I'd say 95% of the time I have grilled meat I have a little rust.

:D The rust adds flavor, justify everyone needs Iron. I just brush with the built up grease on the sides and let it burn a little first. In the Navy we used fifty-five gallon drums cut in half with a cutting torch. A little nuts not knowing if all the chemicals got washed out, but the burgers were tasty.
