Dreamcast help wierd noise.

My dreamcast makes a loud high pitched ringing noise. The noise starts up after a few minutes playing the game. It stops if I turn it upside down. I am thinking it is because the cd is rubbing against something but there are no scratches. I looked under the hood, and even oiled the rotating parts and cleaned the lazer with alcohol, doublechecked the cables. Nothing seems to work (although it sounds like its coming from the cd spinning. Is this a problem anyone else encountered? I am thinking its the motor that rotates the cd. Any help on what it is and why its doing that is greatly app. Thanks.

maybe it could be the gd-rom, or it could be a fan. id guess that it is a fan. have you tried putting it in a better location with airflow? that way your dreamcast doesnt have to work so hard..
