I really should keep an eye on this thread. Figured the Toonami talk was over, and I tune to Cartoon Network late this evening and some new show is on to my surprise with Toonami bumpers.

Based on the schedule, I'm glad some one heard my cries for moving Ghost in the shell up from near crack of dawn time slot. I'm a sucker for Bebop, never seems to get old.

Surprised to see durarara bumped, only been one and a half runs that I've seen.

They should of removed Bebop or Ghost in the Shell in favor of Durarara. That would of meant 3 shows with a fresh run and two newer shows on rerun.

Anyway last night was cool but they put the minimal effort in for the Toonami bumps. Deadman Wonderland seems like an awesome show, so I'm excited for that.

Bebop needs to be on Adult Swim to draw new people in. If anyone hasn't seen it yet, it's the easiest way in the world to blow someone's mind. But I think buying anime is silly expensive so...

For the love of god who hasn't seen Cowboy Bebop by now? It has been on Adult Swim since it's launch in 2001. 11 years of reruns is enough! If they want to bring it back later fine, but give the show a break it is only 26 episodes long.

How many people haven't watched late night Cartoon Network? A staggering amount.

Prices for official releases has gone way down over the past several years. Lots of reasonably priced box sets, etc.

I doubt those people are going to start now just because of CB.

^That and there are other very worth while animes to bring in new audiences. I'm sure just about anyone who has really wanted to see it, has in 11 years.

So from what I've gathered... basically Toonami is just a rebranded saturday Adult Swim now?

Yea. nothing to be excited about. Toonami doesn't matter. Sorry folks. It'll only help ratings for a few weeks. Then back down the gutter.

and here i was kinda hoping for basically "saturday morning anime" or something like that.

Where's our Sailor Moons and DBZs and Gundams and other stuff that'd fit in well like Slayers or Magic Knight Rayearth?
