What about Renegade Ops? Fairly new game from Sega, also quite awesome.

I forgot about Interstate 76. It was combined with Vigilante 8 in my mind as a soso title. I had forgotten how deep the original was. 76 is being bought from GoG on their next sale - same with insane.

Turnbased is neat, but not what I was looking for for this particular project - thanks for the recommendation though, I will download Darkwind for my singleplayer playtime.

Renegade Ops is more of a multidirectional shooter, ala Jackal, and one that Ive logged quite a few hours into recently. It is a whole mess of fun if you havent played it, and the helicopter parts are very -Strikeish. Though the controls suffer on the PC port.

I picked up two copies of Metal Drift on Friday. And since the Carmageddon reboot added a $30 tier that gets me two copies for steam, a downloadable for lan, and a copy of the original from GoG...well thats a no brainer.

I also discovered that not only does the Model 2 emulator run Daytona USA well, it will run it 8 player. Once Naomi runs Alien Front perfectly, well I can justify my multiple steering wheel and HOTAS+rudder purchases...I think
