I believe they tried to use Cure in FF VIII.

FFIV uses it multiple times after forced party deaths, and attempts an Esuna out of battle after a storyline event (it fails). FFV has an attempt to use every healing spell in the book on someone who dies.

Final Fantasy VI did in several places, including the tutorial 'house' in the beginning of the game.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Because of the general gameplay and story segregation in RPGs that is required for most dramatic events to happen, but if you had control you'd be fine.

Lol the ending was legendary bad.

Lightning's speech at the end there sealed the deal for me. It was at that point when I finally realized, "I just completely wasted my time with this game".

Something Final Fantasy 13 did that no other game has ever done.....

It convinced me not to buy a main line Final Fantasy game. I did not like XII at all but I still tried it. I used to love that series. Oh 90's where did you go?
