Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Sell it?

Post by link343 »

I have a copy of MvC2. I was on goozex.com (Thanks raztat) and it goes for 1000 points. In comparaison, games like GTA4, COD4, Halo 3 go for that price. I was wondering if I should put it up for trade/sell it. I don't really use it anymore and I have a homebrew compilation that has MvC2 + a whole lot of other games. Or Should I hang on to it and sell it later?

I ended up selling my PAL version because the Japanese version turned out to be cheaper. Only snag is you have to get a save file for all the characters on that version as some characters could only be unlocked by taking your VMU to an arcade version of it.

Still, if you don't play it much and need the money go for it, although personally I'd miss the game too much to sell completely.

Copy the game, sell it, and play it on a modded console. ;)

We're talking about the Dreamcast version I presume. It you don't need it, get rid of it, but it's a pretty prized game among collectors. I think all versions of MvC2 are actually, at least the domestic versions are anyway.

If I were you I would keep it. I don't play my copy that much, but I do when I do it's usually for a few solid hours. I always find enjoyable to play. Also, it's worth more than most DC games, I picked my copy up for $30, so if you're like me and have a itch to play a game again it'll cost.

I'll Provably keep it. The Main Reason I don't use my copy is because there is a Homebrew Collection called Capcom Fight Collection. This collection contains MvC2 (US), MvC2 (Jap), CvS2, Street Fighter 3 (Don't know the version), Puzzle Figher (Translation and JP), SSF2 (Translation and US), Ikaruga, plus the completed saves for the games above, Plus a couple of programs (cheating, VMU explorer, etc.) Its also allows for mismatching the main games soundtracks. For example, you can play MvC2 with SSF2 soundtrack. And its on one disc.

Enough about the disc, I provably would want the game back after I sold it anyway. Koopin_Krackerz, you picked your copy up for $30, ha. I got my copy, complete, for $20.

If you need the money or want something new and you don't play it...sell it! The only thing is that becasue it's a solid fighter it will never go out of style....infinate replay value is always a plus. hmm....i don't think i'm helping.

That Fighting Collection I referred to in my previous post can be found here:

I don't know what I am going to do with the game. I might trade on Goozex, get a PS2 verison of the game and trade it in @ my local Gamestop. The trade in value for it there is about $47.

You could try selling on a forum or ebay and get the money in cash instead of trade.

Damn! I probably should've waited for a cheap copy on eBay pop up but I tend to get impatient when when I really want something. I jumped on the copy at a local store. Good find on your part.
