Quick question regarding VGA and this title.
I have a launch version (which I believe has glitch music and sfx)
I am trying to play it via VGA adaptor and it won't work. Is this the case for the later pressings of this game?
If thats the case, I heard there is a way to patch the game, but the problem is I dont have an image file for this game, just the original disc?
Any suggestions?
thanks

Arcade ports of different qualities were available after the Dreamcast version was released for PC, N64 and PS1.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:didnt this come out for PS1 or am i crazy for thinking that i had it for ps1 at one time.

There were three version out. Each version had a feature special to it. The Dreamcast version had the most accurate graphics to the arcade version. The PS1 version had a career mode while the Nintendo 64 version (Own;personal favorite) had a four player mode. This mode was not usually unlocked unless you had an expansion pack, If I remember correctly. I never got that far in the game because it required you to save on a memory card. I always thought that was a bad idea. Most N64 games allowed you to save on the cart. This is one of the only N64 games I know of that requires you to do so.
If you use a boot disc (not Utopia, but something like DC-X) to run the game, you can force it to run in VGA that way. Works on quite a few games for me, including this one. Some games show up squashed to the top half of the screen though, like Plasma Sword and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.d123456 wrote:It is possible to force some Dreamcast games to vga.
You have to have a vga cable that you can switch from 15khz to 31khz.
I believe at some point you have to quickly switch to 31 khz.
not sure if it works with HT though.
Good Luck
