Yikes. Good luck man, I know a lot of folks on here have made various health/diet changes over the years, so I am sure you can find some people to ask questions/get support if need be.Xeogred wrote:Quickly summed up I found out I have a protein deficiency, candida (yeast overgrowth) infection in my body, trouble handling carbs, and now I'm on a ton of enzymes and have to radically change my diet drastically. Well I'm really determined to do this though and just change my eating lifestyle around. But damn this stuff hits fast and hard, I started eating a bunch of different things yesterday and today, and it hit hard today. I had to leave work and just feel freaking awful, holy crap. Doubt I'll be able to make it in tomorrow as well if I'm feeling anything like this at all...
So definitely some challenging times ahead, but yeah I want to feel human again so I have to see this through.

Thanks, yeah been getting a lot of tips and ideas from bruno so that's awesome. All the motivation helps, that's for sure...
All my doctor wants me to eat from here on for awhile is basically eggs, and tons of lean meats and vegetables. Doesn't even want me touching bread that much (having to stay away from grains, probably because of the yeast?), and he said fruit is okay but keep it at a 1:2 ratio with more vegetables.
Just really hoping I'm feeling more stable by next Tuesday, so I don't have to miss anymore work.

I can help with recipes as well if you like. My diet is currently grain-free (no wheat, oats, corn, barley) and I've collected several good recipes.Xeogred wrote:Thanks, yeah been getting a lot of tips and ideas from bruno so that's awesome. All the motivation helps, that's for sure...

I'm definitely interested in some! Since my options are so limited I'm going to have to figure things out so I'm not eating the same dang thing every single day... haha.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Damn, Xeogred, I'm really sorry to hear all of that. I don't think I can help much, but if there is anything I can do, let me know.

Sounds like 100% sushi diet to me. Which can only be a good thing.
I'm particularly fond of eel and seared tuna.

It's all good. I'm happy enough to finally have some answers and from what bruno's told me on the protein thing, maybe that's been an issue I've been having for a long time now. This feeling today kind of seems familiar to weird "energy dips" I've had in the past year or two, so maybe it really has been diet related this whole time. Damn I wish this was magic since I'm just dying to see the changes right now, but yeah it'll be interesting to see how I feel down the road eating better like this. For now...it's going to suck I guess, lol.
@sabrage: I'm not too big on fish honestly, even though it's the best source of protein I believe? On top of that last I checked I don't like salad's either, so this all just limits my options more... haha.
I did a good job cutting out caffeine myself over the years but now my doctor (not sure what to call him) even wants me cutting out juice... that'll be tough. He literally wants me drinking 2 liters of water a day, but being realistic here... yeah, haha. I've been good on water for awhile, but now I guess it's all I can really drink for awhile. Maybe I can start looking into natural tea or something though.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
This guy I'm working for is driving me nuts. First he tells me he wants me to redesign his "Ebay storefront" so that it looks better than the competition and he can hopefully get some more traffic. I say, sure, give me a couple days to research (I'm not that familiar with designing for Ebay) and come up with a few ideas. I send him the proposal and he comes back with, "No, I need a new template for the Auction/Buy it now listing, not the storefront. No one cares about the storefront."
Well, dude, there's a difference. Not that that means I have to change much of my original ideas, and I guess I might have partial blame for not making absolutely sure what it was he was referring too, but you'd think he'd know the difference between a storefront and an Item description after being on Ebay for over a year. Perhaps I gave him too much credit.
Then I come home today to a message from him telling me his Contact page is missing from his website and that it was there "and working fine before you."
I haven't touched the thing in over a week. I go check the site, and lo, the Contact page is up and running. I sent him a screenshot to prove it.
What's really starting to bug me is his lack of professionalism. Every time we meet face to face and we go over what he wants me to do I write it down and he says, "Now what did I want you to do?" At first I thought he lost his train of though or just had a bad memory (Or he was high. He does act a bit..off.) Then I realized, oh, no, he's talking to me like I'm twelve and I need to be reminded that I'm supposed to clean my room this weekend. I know I may look young, but knock it the hell off. Plus, he complained to me last time we met that I had "communication problems." This coming from a man who's sent me messages with image attachments saying only, "See what you can do with these."
The guy says he had to fire the last web guy because he was a pot head and didn't know what he was doing, but I'm starting to feel that the last guy just got sick of his rude ass and quit.
