Image Link Dump Thread.

Heh, well I don't love the iPod either, but it's what I have and I'm not going to buy something else anytime soon.

Foobar2000 is far and away the most sophisticated piece of media player available. You can't expect to install an open source program and have it do everything you want right away; that's why so many plug-ins exist for it. It's lightweight, the sound quality is verifiable better than any of its competitors, and you can make the UI look absolutely gorgeous if you actually know what you're doing. It definitely has a learning curve, but I can't imagine why anyone would think it's "simplistic." I'm sure there's a way to sync recent-gen iPods with it too given enough legwork.o.pwuaioc wrote:fubar2000 is a bit too simplistic in what it has to offer.Stark wrote:+1Jrecee wrote:itunes is the worst software ever. ever.

I like the device itself. It has some annoyances, but overall I'm very happy with it. It's the software that goes with it that's a problem. Simply being able to open a folder and move stuff around would take no effort at all, but it goes against apple's policy of "our way or the highway" and "so simple, it's twice as complicated".

Almost. Real Player was probably the worst. Second worst was Quicktime (prior to version 7) for Windows. Third worst was iTunes (again, prior to version 7) for Windows.Jrecee wrote:itunes is the worst software ever. ever.
But yes, it is/was terrible. It wasn't until iTunes 7 that I felt it was acceptable enough to finally get an iPod. A year later, I got a Mac, or more specifically "switched" (since I haven't owned a PC since), and iTunes is actually a good program there.

Some of us like to get value for our dollar. I can't imagine why someone outside of the music industry (now that Apple has neutered Final Cut Pro) would use a Mac.

It's poorly photoshopped, but it makes me a laugh all the same.

And this one's kinda cool.
