I think level 80 is necessary for the final boss dude.

Won't say much, but I think I'll do as much of the Colony 6 stuff as I can. Definitely a neat addition. 8)

Up to the snowy mountains, I want to predict...
Once I get to the Mechonis, it's going to get more heavily sci-fi. STOKED!!!!!!

Have any of you guys played Soma Bringer? I wonder how it compares to Xenoblade... the gameplay itself looks like 2D Xenoblade, haha. I'm pretty interested in the story though.

Someone had posted this earlier and it really is an awesome track

I hope the rest of the game's music is that good

I'm curious, english VO or Japanese? What did most of you pick? I tend to be a purist. I played through Valkyria Chronicles in Japanese. I'm willing to give this game's english dub a shot though if it's good.

It's very good. Go English imo

Went Japanese myself and I like it a lot. Flip a coin. :P

And dude, this OST destroys some SNES/PSX JRPG OST's. I'm not even joking. Simply one of the best ever.

I'm going with Japanese. The English cast doesn't sound too bad, but I've heard better. My main issue is how annoying they sound during combat. There's way too much combat dialog and it somehow seems less annoying with the Japanese. Hearing gibberish in a language I don't understand is less annoying than hearing the same lines being said over and over again in English. I wish they could get some of those awesome voice actors we hear in a lot of DC comic based cartoons and animated movies for projects like this. Those are the best voice actors around. I want to play an rpg with voices from Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, and Mark Hammil

Anyway, the game seems good so far. Standard rpg fare, but good. I haven't really gotten that far yet. I like the save anywhere feature, though I hate having only three save slots. That's just criminal for a Japanese rpg.

It's a shame this is a Wii game. It's a pretty looking game, but seems held back by the Wii's limited hardware and lack of HD. Fortunately, nothing's holding back that awesome soundtrack

Oh, and reversible cover, that's classy. I'm using the back side as my cover art, much prettier. Between that and the japanese audio track being available, this seems like a pretty nice job on localization

It's all thanks to NoE. Since the script is still obviously Euro-English (learnt, colour, etc things like that in there) and it's their dub. I still can't really bring myself to give NoA any credit at all even if the game is finally in my hands, eh. If Europe didn't localize this, we surely wouldn't have gotten it.

About the first cutoff Xeogred:
The first cutoff is after a boss battle at the end of Mechonis Field. It's in a really long hallway at the top. There is no warning I remember. You lose access to Sword Valley and Ghallahad Fortress. Also any related quests and Unique Monsters.
About the second:
The second cutoff is after the boss battle in Agniritha. You lose warp access to the Mechonis Field, Central Factory, and Agniritha. You can still get to Central Factory and Agniritha for a very short while afterwards, but you have to walk. If you're going for completion, finish all the quests in Agniritha before this and talk to the quest giver. One of them gives you a key to a place with a great view.

There is also a very hard to find Location in the Central Factory. You have to jump off one of the lower lifts while it's moving. There's a Unique Monster there.

There is another hidden Location in the Mechonis Field. It's on the lowest level. You have to jump from level 3 or 4 to get there. You're aiming for a black pool. There is a Unique Monster there too.

There is also a missable small quest chain involving a lookout NPC from the Hidden Village and a girl in a hidden outpost on Mechonis Field. Failure to complete this quest will result in the girl's death.

I cannot remember if you are warned before this cutoff.
About the third:
The third cutoff is after the boss battle of Mechonis Core. You lose access to almost all Alcamoth quests, and all Agniritha and Central Factory quests. You also lose access to a very long chain of quests in Frontier Village that cross over into Alcamoth.

There is a quest given by an NPC on the ship that brings you to the Mechonis core area. It involves a ton of back tracking and nets you a really crappy item, but is VERY time-limited.

You will be warned before this cutoff.
I believe there is also a point of no return before the final boss. You are warned.

For anyone else, the only cutoff I can think of before all these these:
Once you begin to restore Colony 6, you will lose access to most Refugee Camp quests. One of them is a "Surprise Quest." It is near a pool of water. If I remember correctly it is towards the start of the Bionis Leg area.
Just FYI, there are some quests that will have the "Timed" symbol by them, but that are actually mutually exclusive.
