The iPhone's photostream makes it extremely easy to do stuff with your photos. Take a photo on your phone and within a minute it is essentially on all of your (Apple) devices. I find it handy when taking a photo or two that I want to use immediately because I don't need to sync my phone. I just take the photo, go to my Macbook, and the photo is already there for me to use. Although, now with wireless syncing, the hassle of syncing the phone is all but eliminated anyway.
It has definitely spoiled me. I really wish my Canon digital camera had wireless uploading. It feels like such a hassle to get out the USB cable now.

This is just personal opinion, but I'd take Picasa over Photo Stream any day. Photo Stream really only becomes useful if you have a Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Picasa auto-uploads everything to cloud storage, so it doesn't take up extra physical space on your other devices. Plus, if I want to share a picture, I don't have to re-upload it to another image host site, since it is already online.Zing wrote:The iPhone's photostream makes it extremely easy to do stuff with your photos. Photostream is going to have public sharing by June 30, likely with the planned official closure of MobileMe and the simultaneous release of Mountain Lion.
Yes, iCloud and Photostream are Apple-only, but it is pretty nice so far and going to be amazing with Mountain Lion. There will be complete syncing between all devices of documents, photos, etc. Right now, it is only seamless between iPad and iPhone.

itunes is the worst software ever. ever.
Re: Image Link Dump Thread.
I probably would've gotten an iPhone if they made them in men's sizes. I'd never sync it, though.

Re: Image Link Dump Thread.
While I don't like iTunes, I've actually been more unhappy with all of their competitors so far. MediaMonkey wouldn't recognize some of my songs (the 3 second bleep from some game OSTs or the 83 1 second "songs" [of silence] on Marilyn Mansion's Antichrist Superstar album), SongBird updated breaking one particular extension that I use that iTunes supports built into it, and fubar2000 is a bit too simplistic in what it has to offer. I'd be more than happy to switch to something else if I can actually find something that can do what iTunes does, isn't a bloated mess, and is free.Stark wrote:+1Jrecee wrote:itunes is the worst software ever. ever.

I use the Zune player and like it from the GUI aspect of it. Unfortunately I don't know if your concerns are address by the Zune player.o.pwuaioc wrote:While I don't like iTunes, I've actually been more unhappy with all of their competitors so far. Does Zune sync with iPods?
Re: Image Link Dump Thread.
No I don't think so, I wasn't thinking of what people would traditionally do. I used Microsoft URGE, which eventually became the Zune software to manage all my digital music. All of my mp3 players have either been Zunes or my Windows Phone, so the software has always worked for me. Not sure what people do if they love Apple's mp3 players but hate iTunes.
