I'm going with Golden Axe Duel also, but to be fair, I haven't played very many fighters.

So many great choices on the Dreamcast by Capcom -

Power Stone
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Tech Romancer
Project Justice

I also enjoyed the Power Instinct series by Atlus.

Another underrated set is on the Neo Geo that consists of Savage Reign and its sequel Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle. If I started digging deeper I know I could find more like Aggressors of Dark Kombat or even the Double Dragon fighting game.

Fatal Fury is definitely a major series, so Mark of the Wolves can't count. I think most consider Darkstalkers major too, although maybe it's debatable.

I'd say Pocket Fighter is pretty fun. I don't think it's part of a major series, although it is a spin-off from Street Fighter II and Darkstalkers.

Time Killers is fun for a bit of entertainment.

I'm going to go with one that hasn't been mentioned and is seriously in need of another entry to series bloody roar. I had so much fun with that series when I was a kid and wish there was a new one actually.

I only listed those two because someone else listed them first. A lot of fighting fans love MotW but it's really obscure outside of the community. Same with Darkstalkers. I can't compare MotW to the other games in the Fatal Fury series, but from what I understand it's quite distinct. And, as I've mentioned before, MotW is a really easy game to pick-up-and play for complete beginners and it retains its depth at higher levels of play too. I'd be playing it right now if the Dreamcast pad didn't annihilate my thumb.

I agree. Mark of the Wolves stands alone and shouldn't be considered part of the Fatal Fury series. At least from a gameplay standpoint.

Well, I think we can debate whether MoTW fits in mechanically or thematically or what until the cows come home. It could even be argued that the Garou Densetsu series is actually part of and progenitor to the larger KOF series.

World Heroes I'll consider not a big series, because I don't think it was ever super popular, even though a couple entries were pretty good.

I've always been a fan of those combo heavy girl fighters on Saturn like Asuka 120% Burning Fest Limited and Advanced Variable Geo.
Also some of the other fighters on Saturn like Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx, K-1 Fighting Illusion, and Cyberbots.
