Good multiplayer Vehicle Combat games?

I have most of the standard ones, but I am curious of any of the lesser known ones yall might have played. I know it is a mostly dead genre, but I still enjoy it the most out of all car games.

I would love to have a PC version of Battle Tanx Global Assault/WDL Tanks and a modern version of Trials of Battle for OS/2, but those dont exist. Something that is arcadey with vehicle customization would be ideal - Sort of a Mech Warrior 4 meets Twisted Metal. I loved Auto Assault when I played it, but thanks to how the master server was setup, it will never live again.

I already have all the Carmegeddons and Mega Races, and I am going to buy Metal Drift next time it goes on sale, but any other suggestions? I just discovered D.I.P.R.I.P. which is the prequel to Zombie Driver and is a HL2 mod. So that will be picked up tonight.

PS1, Saturn or PC Assault Rigs
The PS1 has multiplayer thru the link cable, not sure about the PC or Saturn versions. I should give the PC version another go, I think it had higher resolution.

I really like Metal Drift, but not many people got into it. I haven't tried to set up a match in awhile though:

Your on JT. My plan is to buy a four pack, since I have two steam accounts I am adding games to and have two friends who trade games with me as we get packs on sale. But the ultimate goal is to have four to eight computers all setup with the games we like to play. It might be four modernish computers and four low impact computers (something like the FitPC3). That way we can have our L4D2 on the big computers, and our Classic PC gaming on the others. And if we have enough people - 8 player UT99.

Sprocket Junkie sounds awesome - I LOVED Rocket Jockey back in the day (though I only played it online a handful of times). I am so adding it to the game setup.

I can recommend Car Wars but it's a boardgame and I think it was you the one who thought it wa too fiddly and stuff.

I do enjoy Car Wars, but it is fiddly and a boardgame. I asked this in the PC forum for PC suggestions. Though my first edition Car Wars sits beside my Nintendo 64 Neon.

Interstate `76 - forever the greatest, GOG has it. Old game, but there might be still some folk running servers.

Darkwind: War on Wheels is supposed to be rather good and has a strong community. Not sure if it`s free though and gameplay is turn based.
