Yahhhhhhhhhrrgh... That d-pad has some sharp corners... That's why I have a Saturn to DC adapter for playing fighters.

Yeah, thinking about picking two of these up myself. Does anyone happen to know if the 3D control pad works as well? It's better than the Dreamcast pad anyways.

Also this was literally the first time I've ever touched my Dreamcast, outside of verifying that all my hardware worked... So I guess I knew it sucked, but I didn't know it would mangle me.

Yay: Today is my "get out of the house day", the only reason I'm even happy about that is I need to get some groceries and I want to hit up Goodwill (they better have something good. )

Not yay: Time for another expensive trip to the post office.

Never tried... Could work though. Though that analog/digital switch may not be recognized and likely you can't have both analog and digital working at the same time which I believe DC games do use (haven't played a DC game in over a year soooo yeah IIRC).

Dreamcast official pad is not the greatest, but not the worst.

If you need something for fighters, the best pad, by most counts, is the ASCII fightpad. $40-60 range.

If you need a stick for fighters / shooters, get an Agetec. $50-65 range.

As always, you get what you pay for.

I have a nice stick already. I'd much rather take that $50-60 and mod it into a multi-console beast with much more value than just the dollar I put into it. I don't have the space or the desire to clutter my room further with new sticks, though the Agetech is very nice, and would definitely be my first pick over a silly $50 digital controller. The only problem is, I couldn't find a simple mod (with minimal soldering) to give it multi-console functionality and still retain the Xbox 360 compatibility. I might end up downloading a MAME emulator in the meantime.

Frown: This blister is awful. It's in the absolute worst spot, and I broke it right away. At least it's not big or ugly, just a tiny circle dot.

Second frown: 9 posts is apparently how many reddit comments it takes me to realize I'm having a conversation with my ex-girlfriend about our relationship. I was certainly not in a relationship-related section of the site.
