Cool thread idea... I tried to find something really strange and here's my pick: Brave Soul for the PC.

Image

For starters, Brave Soul holds the (dubious) title of being the only "Adults Only" game in my collection. It isn't particularly rare or hard to find (you can buy it from the publisher for $30) but I have yet to find another person who has played it.

According to the box it will run on nearly any version of Windows (95 - Vista), I run it on a Windows 7 computer with Windows 98 Compatibility Mode.

With the anime artwork you would expect some sort of traditional turn-based JRPG, but this game actually plays like a hack and slash Diablo clone!

It's actually quite fun. If you like RPGs and aren't offended by, um, adult content then give it a shot.

(I was also gonna post a picture of the game disc itself but it's really really NSFW so I thought better of it  )

I think that warning label is unique to games published by Peach Princess. Most of their games seem to carry it. From what I can tell, very few adult-orientated games actually carry the AO ESRB label, as none of them are sold at retailers.

I have a bad picture of it, but...

A custom Castlevania-themed SNES that my girlfriend had made for me for my birthday. Actually, there's a video of it on youtube that's much better.

One of the weirder things I have now are some Korean and Chinese versions of 360 games. Take Halo 3 or for example. I played through the whole thing in Korean (text was in English) so I had no idea what Cortana was talking about... Funny thing is, years prior the French version of Halo 2 was leaked and my friend and I played through the story. Even when we bought the retail one a few weeks later, we never replayed the campaign. To this day the Halo story makes no sense to me.

My Boxed SEGA SC3000H,

It is basically a Sega Mark I with a built in keyboard (Which you could buy for the Mark I, but they cost a pretty penny), it plays Mark I carts as well as Master System card games (via an adapter), is has controller inputs and is pretty hard to find, harder to find boxed.

I rescued it from my old uni's 'computer graveyard' where it was going to get thrown away.

I have done a few videos on it, including a system review and a 'online gaming' video.

Not the rarest and not the most valuable, but a pretty neat piece in my collection.

MVS Cart "Bang Bang Busters", also called, "Bang 2 Busters".

This was a prototype by Visgo games, that was never officially released for Neo Geo AES, MVS or NGCD. A few years back a fan developement team by the moniker "Neo Conception International" secured the rights to the game and announced they would make 100 carts available to the public, complete w/artwork and AES cases, etc. Each cart is number 000/100. A shortwhile after that there was interest in producing MVS carts. A friend of mine had the opportunity to acquire (2) MVS carts, one for each of us (not cheap, but not in the ballpark of the AES versions either).

It is a pretty fun game and plays a bit like Snow Bros / Bubble Bobble. Very fun graphics w/vivid pastel colors.

Being it was released in the past 2 years, it is not on Multi-carts at this time (afaik).

The AES version is much more highly collectible and a few copies can still be purchased on websites:
