Discontinued Coders Cable, Stolen BBA...argh

Post by ImportBoy »

I've been wanting to rip some Dreamcast games and finally have gotten around to buying what I'll need.

First I decided to go the cheapo route and find a Coders Cable. I found a Canadian modchip retailer who claimed to have it in stock. Turns out they didn't....took nearly a month and I finally had to file a PayPal dispute to get my money back.

After that I just figured to go for the BBA and save myself headaches in the long run. So I find one on e-bay for $125 buy-it-now with free shipping. Thats a better price then all of the other BBAs listed (all of them from Japan as well) at the time. So I buy it and send an e-mail to seller asking him to let me know when it is shipped.

No reply for close to a week until this morning....said his car was broken into overnight and all of his current e-bay items to ship were stolen. To top it off he says doesn't have the money in his PayPal account to refund me. Geez...talk about spending someones money while you still have their item........ and why in the hell would you leave valuble stuff like that in your car overnight? Come to think of it, its probably not a good idea to leave an item like that in extreme heat.

Ugh...well seems everything is conspiring against me from ripping these games. I e-mailed him when he expects to be able to refund me...should be interesting to see what is said.

Anyone have a BBA they want to sell me? Preferably someone who won't get mugged on their way to the Post Office....

act quickly, sounds like BS to me. If anything give him the most scathing feedback ever. No good reason to be unable to refund you. Excuses are exactly that.

If he doesn't get back to me in a day or two I'll be filing a dispute. See how it goes from there.

The seller has good overall feedback, and has sold from BBAs in the past without any problems it seems. Just unlucky for me I guess :(
