COO of Cave resigns, future releases in flux

Post by sabrage »

Joystiq

I feel compelled to go out and buy Akai Katana now... Watching the slow degradation of Cave over the past year or two has been incredibly sad.

Hmm...it will be interesting to see what will happen, but I feel I should apologize to our shmup fans for their loss.

That sucks, i have a PS3, would be nice to have seen some of those Cave Shooters come to that system. But the shmup genre fanbase is very small.

They'll never come to PS3. I hope Cave sticks around. :(

I didn't know about Cave until the US version of Deathsmiles came out but I think they're a pretty excellent company - hopefully they'll be able to continue existing.

I definitely plan on getting Akai Katana at some point and it's probably a good idea to download Deathsmiles IIX in case it ends up getting taken down...

DeathSmiles IIX says "This game supports Japanese only" in the summary. Is that for just the online?

It's just a digital copy of the Japanese release. Hasn't been translated into English at all.

I didn't even know this was up on the US store. When did that happen? How much?

How is it?

For that matter, how's Akai?

Hopefully my purchase of Guwange will help just the tiniest bit.
