I was trying to play as a Monk, but I wasn't able to log on for most of last night.

Personally, I don't particularly resent the online model, but it would be nice if the infrastructure could actually handle the number of people buying the game.

CE is nice though, much like the SCII one, really feels like they give you your money's worth.

Cant you host offline servers with hamachi or something?

I heard that you cant make a private game, so any one can join your game even if you just want to play with your friends. I hope that's not true :?

You can make private or invite-only games, in addition to public games.

I spun up a Demon Hunter as soon as I could get on, around 11:45pm PST. I had to work today so I only spent about 20 minutes or so with it and found it to be Diablo+. I love the little touches and how the Lore Books are read while you travel around. The animations and the CGI are top-notch, just what you would expect from Blizzard.

I see that you are unaware that a console port is extremely likely, as there is an entire team currently dedicated to such a thing.

I'd probably have bought the game already, but according to other people who have, it would run at 20fps at best on my Macbook (Nvidia 9400M). A shame, since Starcraft II ran fine. I see that Blizzard "recommends" the Nvidia 330M, which is one step behind the current model. There are strong rumors of a Macbook update in the next month or two, so maybe I will upgrade from this 2008 Macbook and buy the game after all.

I got my DH to level 12 last night and my Monk to level 3 (almost 4) this morning so I'd be at the same level as a friend who I'll be playing with. Just like in the beta it's been a blast. The early slog of D2 is gone with the new way they did the skills and resources. Tonight I have a full night to devote to the game (last night was a SWTOR raid) so we'll see how far I get.

Not exactly.

I'm installing the game as I type this (index#1513 is my battletag).

I played 2 for a little bit, but not for very long. I'll be splitting play time between this and The Old Republic.
