1) I picked up a copy of Dissidia Final fantasy at a pawn shop today. when I try to play it I get a message that says: "The system software of your psp system is version 3.90. To start you must update to version 5.50 or later. For updat methods, refer to the instructions for the psp system."
Am I not going to be able to play this game? I assume it wouldn't be wise to do an update on a modded system. I own around 25 umd games and this is the only time this has happened to me. Are there other games that will do this?
2) my second issue is with the memory stick. I did some moving around and my psp was in storage for over a year. somehow during that time I have got some corrupted data on the memory stick. I assume i need to format it, but I'm worried about wiping everything of the stick since it is modded (as you can probably tell I didn't do the modding on this system, thus don't know a lot about it. I bought it already modded) The corrupted data shows up in the saves menu and not the memory card menu. I can't just delete it out from the system. so do i need to format it? what files have to stay on? there is a file in memory card that says on the picture "psp-dev launcher firmware 1.5" and to the side reads tokes ps2 remote kxploit boot by psp-dev team"If I save that to my pc reformat the stick and just put that back there is everything still going to work? It will save games now but sometimes it the saves will just randomly disappear. I was a bout 4 hours into brave story and the save disappeared. made it to level 4 in locoroco and it disappeared.
Any advice would be appreciated

Re: Couple issues with a modded psp....
you just need to update to a better custom firmware.
Google up some instructions for 6.60 pro b10 (or maybe there is newer than b10 by now? I have no clue). b10 is what I'm on.
You actually have to update to the official 6.60 firmware and then install pro b10, but once you're done you're done.
The beauty of this is since you do an update to the official 6.60 first you don't need anything crazy like a pandora battery or any crazy stuff on your memory stick.
