Going to see it tonight. Real excited.

Never saw the 1st one (1st recent one), and like it this way.

I hadn't really enjoyed batman movies since #2 with devito, but when I saw that joker in the trailer months ago (quite a while before Mr. Ledger passed) I couldn't wait.

So bad ass

Seriously, go watch Batman Begins. At the very least, you should watch it so you're not caught off guard by the new direction of the series.

Saw it last night and I dug it! They did a great job with the movie and I really appreciate the direction they have been taking the Batman movies now. It's how I always envisioned Batman. Also, I can't say enough about Heath Ledger's performance. Solid. Highly recommend this movie.

Saw it 2 days before the premiere (legally BTW). :o

I thought basically the same as peace4myheart. I loved how in between the typical "I'm the villian and here is my bad ass dialogue" Joker was a very flawed character, messing up his speech, making illogical comments and terribly long winded jokes. It's a strong reminder of how messed up he really is.

Saw it last night... absolutely phenominal.

Thanks for the "heads up" on checking the first one. Since I had heard all about the new style, I wasn't caught off guard. I definitely prefer the new direction that they are taking. I was always most interested in the more sinister Batman of the 80s, so I think its great.

Only thing is... I am not a fan of Bale's (batman) voice. Just thought it was overly scruffy sounding. It seemed especially odd to me when Batman and Two Face spoke in the same scene. Anyone else feel the same way?

The voice thing is the only thing about the movies that bothers me a bit as well. Dark Knight was awesome though!

The voice is usually the biggest complaint people I hang out with have. Personally I like it, but I guess I can understand why people don't.

All in all, really good film. I'd say folks should go see it.

I just thought it was a tiny bit extreme (Bat voice).

I don't want anyone to get the idea that it tarnished the film or anything. I guess I wouldn't even say that it bothered me really... I just noticed.

Shit... the flick isn't about Batman anyways. Although I am a fan of Bale's work, that Joker owns it!

Movie of the year, no joke. Made a record-breaking 155 mil over the weekend!

I saw the movie for the second time, today. Still just as awesome as the first viewing!

As for the voice, I think it makes sense because if he just used his normal voice in the batsuit, he'd easily be recognized. Holy run-on sentence, Batman!

I'd say only Raj Al Gul is as awesome an opponent for him as the Joker, but I don't particularly like what they did with him in the last movie. It was still great though, but I hope they did better with the Joker. The first movie really didn't capture just how awesome a villain Raj is, and much of the depth of his character was lost in that movie. As good as Batman Begins was, I would have done it differently. He shouldn't even have been in that movie, and what the hell where they thinking casting Katie Holmes in that movie?
I loved Raj in Batman TAS. I'm assuming that was a more accurate representation of his comic book self? He seemed completely generic in Begins.
I'm not an expert, but what I saw of him in JLA:Tower of Babel, which was a Justice League comic book story arc that heavily featured Raj and Batman is very close to the Batman:TAS version of him. Even Talia seems pretty much the same character.

Great story by the way, really shows how truly dangerous Batman is, even though he has no super powers. Also shows why both villains AND heroes fear him. That's what I love about Batman.

I wasn't knocking Batman Begins. I think it was a pretty good movie, but Batman:TAS is about as close to the comics as any version of Batman will ever get. I mean they even took a character from that series and introduced her in the comic continuity. That's how good that tv series was.
