GameMasterGuy wrote: Congratulations, you bought a box with a permission slip inside. Seriously, f*** Diablo 3. It should be equal parts single-player and multi-player, so why aren't we allowed to play single player on our own? We *need* to be connected to the server at all times. Too many people on the server? Too bad, you can't even play it on your own. Blizzard was even crafty enough to stop modders/hackers from making a fan-made offline patch; most of the AI is stored serverside. Yes, even for single-player. The game has an update that you don't want? Too bad. Too many players on the server? Too bad. Poor/limited internet connection? Too bad. This isn't buying a game; this is buying permission to play a game. I don't care how many pictures of the disc you show me, this has all the negative aspects of a downloadable game and *then* some.
Are you familiar with Steamworks games? I get the impression that you're not a big PC gamer (or maybe you are; they sure love to whine as if these things are a new development).

walmart.com did. And they gave me $10 credit for selling me something they oversold when they canceled.

local walmart had it (despite telling me on the phone around noon that they didn't)

This happened to me with Dark Souls. Pre-ordered on Newegg.com and they cancelled my order and gave me $10. I went down to BB and picked it up. Glad it worked out for you!

Oh man, I apparently dawdled too long in the PC dept. As I was walking up the manager passes by my sales clerk and looks at me pointedly as she tells the clerk "1 copy of Diablo III CE per person", seconds too late...

Smile: Finally catching up on mailing stuff to people!!

Frown: I just sealed my sharpie in a box...and I am not sure which one.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Ticked: Flake finally sent me a cart only copy of Cliffhanger for Game Boy. It's one of the worst games ever, and I don't even collect GB anymore. :x

Smile: I got a free Sharpee! :D

Frown: Where the F**k did I put my copy of Cliffhanger that my dying friend gave me over ten years ago that he inherited from his equally dying sister who only wanted world peace?
