Over the weekend I picked up a very strange boxed Genesis game called Mallet Legend's Whac-A-Critter for $2. It's an unlicensed Whac-a-mole style game for the Genesis with an oddly thin case and very strange cart shape. Additionally, it doesn't seem to work when playing it through the 32x - perhaps an added antipiracy measure? Anyway, I just picked it up because of the oddity and cheap price. According to the back of the box it even had its own controller for use with the game, but the controller seems to quite rare.

Was walking out of church today and there for some odd reason is a 26" monitor sitting on the table, with a note that says, "We got a new TV. If someone wants this TV, please take it."

It's an ILO 26" HD-LCD. I knew nothing about this brand at the time. I did some reviews and have found 3 recurring themes: If the monitor lasts more than 6 mos, you should be fine. The remotes are notoriously cheap and often don't work. The monitor itself is brilliant.

Well, it's 3 yo and working perfectly, so no worries on the "dead in 6mos" reviews. I don't need a remote for the way i'm using it. And yes, the monitor is brilliant.

TV: Ilo-2600
System: Neo Geo MVS
Connection: S-Video
Game: Spinmasters

 Nice, especially the SVideo, a rarity in new LCDs! In case you need to get to all the menu features, a Universal Remote should be easy to code to it, maybe try Akai codes. Found a couple of links for the Original Remote.

Evidently a different Remote for a non AC adapter version? :?:

Brand New ILO TV remote

Originally supplied with Akai TV listed below:
ILO-2600 (This TV has two revisions, this remote works with TV that doesn't need the AC adapter)

Nice buys...hopefully.

Anytime you have a new seller and stock photo, it's a bit of a crap-shoot. Very good to you and I, may mean disc-only and only a couple scratches to the seller. That's why stock photo listings and no-description listings go lower.

I've had really good luck and really bad luck - but more bad than good and I rarely bid on anything w/stock photo unless it's just crazy crazy below market.

I completely understand and agree 100%. But in this instance the buyer was contacted before making the purchases and he was very prompt and cordial with his replies. He assured me they were all complete, in good to very good condition as listed, and ready for immediate priority mail shipping. And he is paypal verified so at least I am buyer protected on the sale.

I will follow up with yall here to let yall know how it actually turns out!

Left this one a bit larger so you can read the text. Third pic is of the alleged controller. (sorry for the kinda bad lighting)

Also, I put it on the shelf between some of my other games so hopefully you can see that the case is a bit thinner than a normal Genny one.

I found a loose cart only copy of Riding Hero for the AES. Extremely rare to find Neo Geo items. I found it at a swap meet and only paid $2. :D

I have to think that controller is very HTF, i've never seen one. I've seen the cart before but didn't know it had a custom controller. If that controller works well, that could be a fun game - kids love whac-a-mole.

A quick amazon search shows (4) carts available, but no controllers.

Realtec published (3) games for Genesis/MD, but all were unlicensed:
Earth Defense
Funny World and Balloon Boy
Whac-a-critter
