I can't see the story being as grand as Xenosaga, but at the same time I can see the game feeling just as big as the whole Xenosaga trilogy combined easily, lol.
I don't know how grand Xenosaga's story was, but it gets at least as grand as FF9's
Xenosaga just covered a lot of ground, galaxies and everything, and the "database" within Episode 3 was like a Bible in itself, lol. That world was insanely rich and deep.
But yeah this game just gets bigger by the moment and the pacing is really good, like I love how it gradually evolves into something so much more, then you look back at like how it started and how simple things were. It's definitely an experience.

They fixed my Wii out of warranty for free when it stopped reading dual layer discs and Gamecube discs, because it was a known problem. You should be OK if you to decide to get it fixed. My Wii was a launch day model.
So I called Nintendo and told them the problem and made the mistake telling them that the two Metroid games (Prime Trilogy and Other M) along with Xenoblade giving me the disc read error and now the are fixing it and making me send the games in too.
So I will be sending my Wii and games in to get it fixed...
Today I played the game and it worked fine... I hope it gives them an error when they play it.
Anyway, thanks for the advise to get the Wii fixed everyone!
As far as I know, they typically have you send in at least one of your dual-layered games with the system. I had to. Also, Nintendo does not usually handle these common repairs in-house. They contract other facilities. Those places don't give a crap. They just want their money. My Wii had been modded in the past, and that didn't matter.
Some time after that my Wii ended up developing a very unique problem, so I had to send it straight to NOA headquaters. They couldn't duplicate my problem, but they still replaced my Wii with a nice-looking refurb. NOA didn't care about the past modding either actually .
I wouldn't worry about it. Your Wii will have a nice new laser soon . You should be glad this happened now, rather than after the program has been discontinued. With older Wii consoles it really is only a matter of time.

So should I be glad or sad? .....

If you have an old Wii console and it hasn't crapped out yet I'd be sad. If you have the skills to replace the laser yourself, it's not such a big deal.

The more I think about it I am glad that I am getting a new laser and an extra 1 year warranty this late in the consoles life. The sad part is that I have to wait 10 or so days to play the game some more.

j/k, this is a real full game! WOW!
(been reading too much Joystiq today, think half the articles nowadays are about DLC...)
Just though the joke was fitting with Xenoblade being like, a game + 50 DLC's + 10 expansions.
hahahahahahha, dude fuck you. You made my heart skip 5 beats. This game is so awesome and huge, who knows how much content they would give away in a single DLC pack.
And yes I know, like a small (AWESOME) MMO. This game ROCKS

My holy trinity of Shulk/Reyn/Sharla. Can't break the bromance between the first 2, and the romance between the last 2
Though I also loved Rikki/Melia/Sharla for what is the funniest after battle comment in the game:
Rikki: Meli like big favorite sister to Rikki
Sharla: Hey, what about me?
Rikki: Sharla no sister. More like mother
....or along the lines, I don't remember it 100% but it was pretty damn funny, specially with Rikki's amazingly funny voice
For the toughest battles, I stuck with the Melia, Riki, Sharla combination for sheer effectiveness, but my favourite party members would be Riki, Dunban & Last character.
