Not only that, but it's impossible to know what the limit is. So you can easily make 3 offers and get declined instantly just as many times. It leaves no room for counter offers either...BoringSupreez wrote:It undermines the whole point of accepting offers.elmagicochrisg wrote:Automatic declines on eBay offers make me go berserk...
It's like an instant fuck you. It's rude, and it makes me wanna send very nasty PMs to the seller...

There have been at least two occasions that I got automatically declined, and despite the fact that the "buy it now" price on the item was still the cheapest I refused to buy it out of wrath.elmagicochrisg wrote:Not only that, but it's impossible to know what the limit is. Out of curiosity, what was post-WW2 Spain like? In other words, are you basing that statement off of social stigmas in the American 50's, or did similar stigmas exist in Spain as well? I know very little about that period in world history besides bits about Germany, Japan, America and a few other notable global events (my inability to read a textbook for more than 20 minutes without dozing off is showing here.)General_Norris wrote:Same here.sabrage wrote:Sometimes I feel like you guys all live in the 50's.

My wife's grandmother's neighbor (in Japan) and I were talking and he said one of the most fantastic things he remembers after the war was the smell of the combustion engine. Apparently he'd never seen a car before in person.sabrage wrote:Out of curiosity, what was post-WW2 Spain like? Well I don't know much about History but socially Spain was far worse. It was under a despotic regime with many ties to the Catholic Church meaning it was far more conservative and backwards than the US by a long shot. For example, during Franco's regime Divorce and anticonceptives were banned.sabrage wrote:Out of curiosity, what was post-WW2 Spain like? Finally got my monitor! It's been a real pain in the ass waiting for the RMA to be processed. It was worth it for that great 1080p image. It's such a great monitor.

It's interesting how some of our longest-running threads were started by users who are not regular posters. The creator of the "What are you listening to at the present?" thread was banned, even. At least, his user profile was deleted, so I assume that's what happened.

That's been a fun thread; my love for Wesley Willis inspired some username's sig-quotes in reply to what I put thereBoringSupreez wrote:It's interesting how some of our longest-running threads were started by users who are not regular posters. I've always found this amusing, my favorite is that Unplugged clone started the ebay/craigslist wtf thread.ExedExes wrote:That's been a fun thread; my love for Wesley Willis inspired some username's sig-quotes in reply to what I put thereBoringSupreez wrote:It's interesting how some of our longest-running threads were started by users who are not regular posters.
