The Warriors - 5/10 - Not as great as i was hoping it would be. Perhaps if i had seen it when i was a little kid I would have gotten more out of it. But watching it for the first time just now, it comes across as silly and amateurish. Also, why does a gang that calls themselves The Warriors spend the whole movie running away in fear?
Moneyball - 7/10 - A decent movie that even non-sports fans could appreciate. Perhaps not as uplifting as a film like RUDY, but still a good story.

All I can think of when I see sports related movies is that Pinky and the Brain episode. . .
As far as subtext goes, this movie takes the (or at least one) cake. The plot, character development, exposition, continuity of the acts...Superb.
The content...disturbing.
This is a movie for people who study movies who aren't afraid to watch topics that transcend the icky factor of horror movies but will still give you the willies (bad choice of words on my part). It was an uncomfortable experience, but yet a brilliant movie.
Possibly more of a case study on writing than more of a pleasure to watch, but a must for people who enjoy the delicate intricacies of film.
Not sure how it will age, but I would wait until you consider yourself an adult to watch this film.

Are you talking about a movie starring John Lovitz? That's the only thing showing up for me. I'm not sure I've seen that sort of praise for anything involving Lovitz since maybe. . . The Brave Little Toaster.
