MOD chip install plays audio only

Post by room4gello »

i bought the chip from racketboy and installed it using the the 14th pin method, but the burned game wont play ONLY audio. i know the game works because i was doing the swap method with it. its a US region Guardian Heros if that matters. regular games still play fine too. i kept thinking it was the power wire and resoldered it three times and ended up melting some of the plastic(white plastic) around the 5v soldering point. oh i burned the game with NERO, at 4x speed, and when i was doing the swap trick i was using tomb raider as the real game. any help is appreciated.

so does it still work doing the swap trick? just curious, do the swap trick with the mod chip installed, see if that works?

also is the region of the game the same region of your saturn system? make sure you have matching regions, im not sure but im guessing (yes im not positive) that a swap trick will read the region of your real game and work your bootleg in any region,

in that case you will need to region patch the game to your region of the console or get some action replay cartridge.

the region of the console is US and the region of the burned game is US. the swap trick DOES still work with the chip in place. what do i do? bad chip? bad install?

If i were in your shoes, I'd humor myself and try the A+B method. its really easy to take off the signal wire at the mod chip and bridge the two solder points. I'm 99.9 percent sure thats how i did it in mine.
