so what dates have you guys decided on as your start and stop of the Summer Challenge?

I'm starting as soon as I finish Red Steel 2, so my dates an unknown. It'll probably be before the start of June though.

Well since I work at a public school "summer" for me begins the day after the kids go on vacation. So I'd start June 14th.

I assume many of the college students here already are on summer break.

June 1 until whenever I have to start teaching in the fall.

I also decided to make Metroid II my alternate for Final Fantasy Adventure. The latter I'm saving for lengthy subway rides/when I'm out and about and want to play, so in case I finish it before the end of the challenge, I'll have something else to play through.

I hope you have a LOT of free time, most of these are pretty long. Xenoblade took me over 100 hours, and Okami and Dark Dawn were like 40 hours each too.
