Didn't see another thread on this, figured the Racketboy community would be all over this one with all the DC fans around here -

Check out the trailer, its a MASSIVE improvement. I think these guys continue to fine tune and listen to the fans - their games just keep getting better and better IMO.
It's cool when people make games for old systems, but it seems like every system just gets one type of game that gets done over and over. For the dreamcast, it's space shooters.
They should just release these on PSN and Xlive at this point, they are beating a dead horse with releasing physical media for the dreamcast
Hey buddy! the monies that are obtained from donations for this dreamcast release... Is just so they can purchase software development kits so they can port it to PSN, XBL ans Steam

Did you read the Kickstarter page? The whole point of the DC release is to help fund a PSN/XBLA/Steam release. The DC copy (which also includes Dux 1.5), is a limited run as an incentive to fund it. I've already put money down on it, I've been trying to get Dux for a while, and this one seems like a great deal, and I'm sure it'll be worth a bit afterwards due to the limited availability of it, though I doubt I'd sell.
Consoles: Sega Master System, NES Toploader, Genesis/32X, Sega CDX, SNES, 3DO FZ-1, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox Halo Edition, Wii, PS3 Handhelds: Atari Lynx, Sega Nomad, Neo Geo Pocket Color, GBC (Atomic Purple, Pokemon Edition), GBA (Pink OG, Silver SP, Spongebob SP+), DS (Phat, iXL), 3DS, PSP (1000, Go)

Indeed, I'd be much more excited if every homebrew wasn't a shooter
Our goal is to publish "Redux: Dark Matters" on STEAM, XBLA and PSN. To achieve this, we are offering a Kickstarter exclusive preorder for a Limited Edition of Redux on Sega Dreamcast. Only 1000 copies will be produced ever! It will only be available, right now, exclusively through this Kickstarter campaign.
The required devkits to release on STEAM, XBLA and PSN are costly - so we are offering an exclusive Sega Dreamcast version of Redux: Dark Matters to fund the development for these additional platforms. We want to bring Redux to as many people as possible. Pledging your support directly makes this a reality!
So I can support physical media by purchasing a disc game to fund development for the download version and very likely any future games will be download only put out by this studio? Add to the fact the Disc will have a limited release. Great to get an independent SHMUP game to reach a bigger audience, the irony is bullet hell though.
