Why else would one buy a Rolex homage? Why do you think there's so many cheap homages to the Submariner? The Steinhart is the only one in my price range that captures the look without cheaping out on the build quality and time-keeping to do so. If it ends up being as solid as its reputation, I may never have cause to want an actual Submariner.

Or, to put it another way: I want a Rolex because Connery iconicized it. I don't want one because my pizza boy liked the Invicta knockoff that Dillards happened to be carrying that day.
